VAMS Tactical Medical Law Enforcement Officers Course is a standardized approach designed to meet the needs of LEOs actively working in the tactical field or school system. This course is a specialized training program designed to provide LEOs with the knowledge and skills needed to provide basic medical aid to trauma casualties within operational capacity. The LEOTMC is intended to familiarize participants with TCCC concepts and basic lifesaving skills, ensuring basic skills needed to render medical aid to a trauma casualty; including self-aid and partner-aid.
Course Duration: The LEOTMC is a 16-hour program, offering a comprehensive introduction to the TCCC algorithim, and related principles and skills.
Course Objective: The objective of this course is to familiarize all LEOs, including those without medical expereience, with the fundamental concepts and life saving skills required to manage trauma casualties at the point of wounding.
