Tactical Medical Provider Helicopter Operations Course (TMPHOC)

This 7-day course provides our students the education and training required to manage in and around helicopter operations. This comprehensive course focuses on Basic helicopter nomenclature, operations and planning, rappelling, winch operations, fast rope and managing causalities in flight.

  • Course Objective: The primary objective of this course is to provide medical providers with advanced prehospital casualty care education and training focused on managing combat casualties in helicopter austere tactical environments.
  • Course Duration: TMPHOC Course is a 60 - hour program.
  • Curriculum: Principles of helicopter crew operations, in flight casualty medical management, casualty extrication (winch), Rappel, Fast rope, casualty onboarding and debarking, and helicopter Scenarios.
  • Classroom, Helicopter Lab, and Field Format: The course is presented in a format that includes classroom lectures, hands-on skills, helicopter platform training, helicopter flight training setting, and field scenarios to provide helicopter practical training experiences.
